To ensure the safety of our staff and clients, participants will be required to have their temperature tested, check-in using our QR code and sanitise upon entry to our premises. Masks are mandatory and must be worn whilst on our premises in line with the Public Health Order. Should you not be able to meet these requirements, please contact our office before booking. 

We kindly ask that anyone who has been identified as a close contact in the 7 days prior to the training, is awaiting COVID-19 test results or is feeling unwell in any way to please not attend our premises. 


This program provides the knowledge and skills for conducting a confined space rescue.

It builds on previous confined space and rescue training and experience to enable responders to perform the necessary tasks associated with rescue operations.

           PLEASE NOTE: HLTAID003 has been superseded and is no longer available for                RR+R to train, assess or award individually after 14 Oct 2021. If you do not hold              a current HLTAID003 qualification please contact RR+R.

The unit of competency PUASAR025 Undertake confined space rescue contains the below pre-requisite units when learners are working or looking to work in the fire sector or are completing the unit of competency as part of a fire qualification. The fire sector is those sections of government departments, statutory authorities or organisations that have responsibility under jurisdictional arrangements for the delivery of firefighting and fire management services.

It is essential that the prerequisite units listed below are obtained prior to the issuance of this unit to individuals within the fire sector or the units contributing to the attainment of a fire qualification.

  • PUASAR022 Participate in a rescue operation (delivered as part of the program)
  • PUAFIR306 Identify, detect and monitor hazardous materials at an incident


A Statement of Attainment listing individual units of competency will be issued to participants upon successful completion.
