First Aid Course

Our Accredited First Aid Course teaches first aid skills for incident response, including resuscitation and AED operation. Participants learn how to provide a first aid response as well as life support and management of the incident scene. This CPR and First Aid Course includes CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), as well as the operation of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).

CPR Course

Learn to provide CPR and basic life support when required in this highly practical four hour course in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It focuses on providing participants with the competency and confidence to provide basic life support until the arrival of medical or other assistance. Also included is how to accurately gather and convey incident information and operation of an AED.

Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) and CPR Training

Risk Response and Rescue's Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) and CPR course provides participants with the confidence and competency required to perform CPR on an unconscious casualty, in the context of those having suffered electrocution. The LVR component of this program includes risk assessment of an electrically hazardous situation and a simulated rescue exercise from a live LV panel situation.

Working At Heights Course

This introductory Working at Heights Course provides an overview of height safety and the systems required for maintaining a safe workplace. The training references the Risk Management hierarchy of controls. In a single day, participants on this accredited program learn to identify hazards associated with heights and to implement basic site procedures in order to work safely.

Firefighting Training

Undertake firefighting training with this highly practical and interactive Firefighting Course. Facilitated by Risk Response and Rescue's expert trainers, participants learn to respond to disasters or incidents that can endanger life, property and the environment, including wildfires. Our course is highly suitable for Emergency Response personnel who are part of firefighting teams.

Confined Space Training

Risk Response and Rescue's two day Confined Space Training course is designed for persons who are required to enter and work in confined spaces but do not require competency in breathing apparatus or emergency response. Participants learn the WHS and legislative requirements and procedures to ensure the health, safety and welfare of persons required to work in confined spaces.

Chainsaw Training Program

Risk Response and Rescue's Chainsaw training program is an introductory or base level program that covers equipment maintenance, cutting felled trees in work settings and emergency, risk and hazard response procedures. This 2 day course includes enables participants gain the skills and knowledge required to assess, plan and safely trim and cut felled trees using a chainsaw.

Confined Space Rescue

Our four day Confined Space Rescue Program builds on previous confined space and rescue training and experience to enable responders to perform the necessary tasks associated with rescue operations. Participants experience and learn about rescue operations in confined spaces. Modules include dealing with hazardous materials, providing First Aid, operating breathing apparatus and preventing injury.

Vertical Rescue

Undertake practical Vertical Rescue Training to learn how to provide appropriate emergency response when recovering casualties from heights or depths. This training teaches the necessary protocols to use when undertaking vertical rescue. Operating both independently and as part of a team, participants learn how to correctly identify and use suitable access and recovery equipment.

Road Crash Rescue

Our practical Road Crash Rescue Course teaches participants to manage an accident scene safely. Participants learn how to use stabilisation and extraction equipment at the scene of a vehicle or heavy plant accident. The road crash rescue training exercise allows our expert trainers to teach participants the protocols to providing emergency response and hands-on casualty management.
