Respond to Aquatic Incidents

This program provides the skills and knowledge required to respond to an emergency in a marine environment and participating in an aquatic emergency. It includes the identification of roles and responsibilities in an emergency, briefing emergency personnel and basic water approach and water safety when working on or near the water. Practical scenarios conducted throughout this program ensure participants are competent in the checking of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), buoyancy techniques, swimming fully clothed with and without a life jacket, scene approach and casualty management, throw and reach measures, tows and the recovery, packing, extrication & land transfer of casualties.
