Phil Richards

Phil has responded to more than 3500 emergency incidents over the past 26 years. His speciality is the field of human performance which he has been researching and developing for over 20 years. Phil is instrumental in the RR+R Human Skills Factors programs which integrate a unique blend of experiential training techniques combined with human behavioural adjustment. These programs have achieved transformational results with frontline responders and persons responsible for assets worth billions of dollars throughout Australia and abroad.

Peter Hatswell

Hatsy was one of the experts flown in to help rescue miners Todd Russell and Brant Webb after a rock fall at Beaconsfield left them trapped 925 meters underground. Hatsy has been operational in mining across all disciplines of underground and open cut for over 30 years.  His knowledge is widely sought throughout industry both nationally and internationally.  Hatsy brings operational capabililty, experience and a network surpassing anything previously experienced. His operational knowledge, skills and countless lives saved are credible and real.

Matt DeWaard

Matt has extensive experience in the multi-faceted world of rescue with a focus on engaging and training others across industries. With a diverse background as a professional ski patroller and EMT both in Australia and the USA to working as an Emergency Response Officer for one of Australia’s largest gold mining precincts. Matt has had several first responder roles in the public and private sectors. Matt is currently a full time Fire Fighter in the ACT and has been on the front line of numerous rescues from the sub-zero alpine through to the heat and dust of an underground mine.

Wyn Jenkins

From a fire fighting perspective, Wyn regularly responded to “lives at risk” situations and has carried out numerous real life rescues. He has extensive and credible experience in fire fighting, emergency response, casualty management, breathing apparatus and road crash rescue. Wyn now heads up RR+R’s Logistics and Sales team, providing unbiased advice on the products we sell. As a Senior Consultant he thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to get out in the field to pass on his skills and knowledge.

Cameron Thompson

Cameron has an extensive background in rescue and fire fighting and has a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from many deployments locally and abroad. Cameron is an Urban Search & Rescue Cat 2 operator, level 3 Swift Water operator and has also spent time as an Emergency Services Officer at multiple mines in NSW and QLD. As a trainer, Cameron's theory sessions are engaging and inclusive. He uses his own experiences to provide real life scenarios to participants in a safe and positive learning environment.

Cameron Powell

Cameron is an Intensive Care Paramedic with Ambulance NSW.  His experience also includes rescue operations, road accidents, industrial accidents and vertical/cliff rescue. He is a qualified Swift Water Rescue Technician and has aeromedical experience onboard rescue helicopters. Cameron was a Retained Firefighter with Fire Rescue NSW for over 22 years, Captain of a Brigade and qualified as an Intermediate Hazmat Technician. Cameron's tertiary qualifications include psychology, paramedical science & emergency management.

Matthew Ellem

Matthew has over 15 years experience as an Rescue Operator, Relieving Permanent Senior Firefighter and Technical Rescue Instructor for the Education & Training Department with Fire and Rescue NSW. Matt has an extensive portfolio of qualifications and experience including Public Safety Fire and Emergency Operations, Urban Search & Rescue Cat 2, Vertical and Confined Space Rescue aswell as Medical Services First Response. Matt's a local Illawarra guy and an awesome member of our team.

Wayne McCann

Wayne has an extensive history in high-risk asset management and protection, specialising in emergency response and advanced life support. Wayne is an Intensive Care Paramedic for Department of Health SA and Registered Paramedic with AHPRA. Wayne started his ambulance career as a volunteer ambulance officer in Tasmania. He has also worked for some of Australia’s leading mining companies leading emergency response team capability, security supervision, skills maintenance and training of ERT’s in all emergency response disciplines.

Amanda Cleary

Amanda is a legend what can we say!  Having over 17 years experience in marketing and customer service she keeps everything running smoothly.  Amanda is part of the leadership team, managing the operations, client relations and NSW Government Smart & Skilled funding. Her knowledge of the VET sector is extensive and ensures customers needs in relation to contexualised programs is fit for purpose. Her leadership, knowledge and experience within the business is highly respected amongst her peers and clients.

Sharilee Manning

Sharilee has over 10 years’ experience in Customer Service and Administration. As a member of our support team her role includes liaising with clients, trainers and post course administration.  Sharilee prides herself in providing exceptional customer service to RR+R clients and is passionate about working with people to achieve collaboratively driven results. Sharilee currently holds a Certificate IV in Business Management, Diploma in Holistic Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Dance.

Stuart Harvey

Stuart has more than 20 years of experience within the risk and emergency management area including dangerous goods, emergency preparedness and response, construction and mining fields. He has developed both state and national guidance material published by relevant state and federal government agencies, along with Codes of Practice and Assessment Tools whilst also being a representative on numerous Australian Standards and both industry and governmental codes of practice.

Amy Wilton

Amy has over 12 years RTO and Vocational Education experience and is an integral member of the RR+R team. After joining RR+R in 2015 as an administrator, Amy's dedication has seen her streamline many processes, develop many team members and has progressed her career in the Human Resources and Finance departments. Amy enjoys learning new skills and thrives on a challenge. Amy holds a Certificate III, IV & Diploma in Business Administration and a Diploma in Human Resources Management.

Carla Van Tol

Carla has extensive experience in student administration working for Wollongong University for over 15 years in the roles of Student Services, Administrative Assistant and Student Solutions Officer across various faculties including, Arts, Social Science, Humainities and Law. Carla experience is well suited to her role with RR+R as part of the training co-ordination team. Carla holds various qualififcation in Business administration, Tourism and Customer Service.

Amy Davis

Amy is part of our training co-ordination team holding a Bachelor of Nursing, Certificate IV in Business and various other qualification in aged care and disability services. Amy worked in the healthcare industry for over 10 years and also has extensive experience in hospitality and hotel management.  As part of her career and personal development in healthcare she accepted placements in Cambodia providing knowledge and skills to patients within her scope of practice.
