NSW Fee Free Training
Want to study a fee-free qualification or short course? We offer NSW Government Smart and Skilled partially funding and fully subsidised NSW FEE FREE qualifications which can help prepare you for work in fast-growing industries that need skilled workers just like you.
NSW Fee Free improves access to training for young people, job seekers, First Nations People, unpaid carers, women undertaking study in non-traditional trades and certain categories of visa holders.
Enrolments available until 31 December 2023 for:
• HLT21010 Certificate II in Medical Services First Response• PUA20622 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
Smart and Skilled provides eligible students with an entitlement to government-subsidised training up to and including Certificate III.
Under Skills NSW, you may be able to study a fee-free course if you are:
• 15 years old or over,• no longer at school,
• living or working in NSW,
• an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen.
Your eligibility is not affected if you have completed a vocational education and training (VET) course, including a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship, as part of your high school education. There are some exceptions to the eligibility conditions described above, such as for Aboriginal people.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)
A USI is required by all Australians undertaking nationally recognised training.
RR+R cannot issue Certificates or Statements of Attainment without a verified USI. Therefore, it is
mandatory that all participants supply their USI upon enrolment.
You can apply for your USI here.
If you are unable to create your own USI or require further assistance, contact RR+R’s Support Centre
or the Office of the Student Identifiers Register (USI Office).
