(EWP) - Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform - VOC

Description

This EWP Verification of Competency (VOC) assists personnel to demonstrate their ability to operate an EWP competently and safely. Ensuring their knowledge and understanding of industry regulations relating to high-risk work is current and accurate.

Verification of Competency (VOC) is a method of assessment that can be used by operators and HRW Licence holders to demonstrate their competence to operate equipment and accept the responsibilities of the operator role, as part of meeting WHS obligations.

To operate an Elevating Work Platform (above 11 meters), a HRW Licence is required.

Mode of Delivery

This Verification of Competency will be assessed face to face on a client's site as required.

The assessment process consists of a formative written knowledge and practical skills assessment.

Duration*

The approximate duration of this program is 4 hours.

*Learning and assessment hours will vary depending on your existing skills, underpinning knowledge and prior experience and your commitment to your learning and practical application of activities.

Pre-Requisite and Entry Requirements

Participants must be at least 18 years old and hold a current HRW Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform

Students must have appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy skills (LLN) to interpret and apply relevant information during this program. An LLN assessment may be conducted during enrolment process to ensure each student has the appropriate level of skills required to undertake this program. 

Safety attire, including safety boots and a high-visibility shirt, is required.

If learner support is required, RR+R must be notified so that we can provide the appropriate support. 

Certification

Students who demonstrate competence will receive a Verification of Competency letter issued by Risk Response and Rescue (RTO 90774).
